In an environment of flat funding and rising costs, this internationally renowned University wanted to understand the profit opportunities from commercial activities across its cultural estate and was looking for options for commercial growth from evolutionary to total transformation to inform and facilitate a new Commercial Strategy for 2020-2025.

Through extensive stakeholder engagement, benchmarking and interrogation of data, John and associates focused on three areas to deliver the greatest return; Marketing, Retail, Catering and Venue Hire. Detailed recommendations, supported by a financial model, demonstrated the potential to double the annual net contribution from commercial activities.
